Man accused of poisoning, strangling cat before throwing it in the trash

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WTKR) — According to court documents, 21-year-old Curtis Kinzey is charged with animal cruelty.
The paperwork indicates that he is accused of killing his cat and, “claimed to have fed the cat poison, then choked the cat to death, throwing it away once it was dead.”
The documents go on to say the cat was found dead in the garbage.
Kinzey is being held in Virginia Beach Jail without bond and has a bond hearing 8 a.m. Monday.
